La Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Consumidor (PROFECO), ha emitido una alerta a la población para que evite comprar boletos de avión de la aerolínea Interjet, luego de que por dos días seguidos dejara varados a unos 3 mil pasajeros al cancelarles sus vuelos sin previo aviso.
De acuerdo al titular de la PROFECO, Ricardo Sheffield, se trata de “una aerolínea prácticamente en quiebra”, por lo que será difícil que reponga los boletos cancelados a los más de 3 mil pasajeros varados este 1 y 2 de noviembre, aunque Interjet aseguró que si repondrá dichos traslados.
Esta alerta se suma a la enorme lista de problemas que tiene la aerolínea. Más de 200 pasajeros han hecho una demanda colectiva recientemente por fraude contra Interjet, por la venta de boletos de rutas que cancela de un día para otro y promete reponer en tiempos de espera largos.
La aerolínea propiedad del empresario Miguel Alemán Magnani, hijo del ex presidente mexicano del mismo nombre, ya sólo opera poco más de una decena de rutas con 7 aviones, varios de los están en constante reparación.
La mayor parte de su flota fue embargada el año apagado por falta de pago a los arrendadores de sus aviones tipo Airbus A-320. Asimismo, la firma mantiene fuertes deudas con miles de millones de pesos al fisco mexicano.
Interjet canceló todos sus vuelos este lunes y el pasado domingo en todo el país. La razón, trascendió, fue la falta de pago a los aeropuertos para reabastecer de combustible a sus aviones, por lo que estos no volaron.
A pesar de su crítica situación, Internet continúa ofreciendo paquetes de viajes y ofertas en boletos de avión a través de campañas en redes sociales.
Cabe mencionar que esta aerolínea mexicana ya no realiza operaciones en el Aeropuerto de Puerto Vallarta.
